Rawal is Dena Bank CMD

New Delhi, Dec. 31

The Centre has appointed Mr D.L.Rawal as Chairman & Managing Director of State-owned Dena Bank. He has come in the place of Mr P.L.Gairola, who superannuated on Wednesday. Currently, the Centre holds 51.19 per cent stake in Dena Bank. Mr Rawal, currently Executive Director, Canara Bank, is expected to take charge in Mumbai on Thursday. He would be the CMD of Dena Bank upto October 31, 2011, which is the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, according to the Finance Ministry.

Meanwhile, Ms H.A.Daruwalla, Chairperson and Managing Director of Central Bank of India, superannuated on Wednesday. The Government is yet to decide on a successor for Ms Daruwalla at the Central Bank of India. - Our Bureau
