SBI, Vizag zone profit at Rs 155 cr

Visakhapatnam, Dec 31

The Visakhapatnam zone of SBI, comprising 222 branches in the districts of Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and East Godavari, has earned profit of Rs 155 crore till November-end, according to Mr K. Subrahmanian, Deputy General Manager. He said here on Wednesday that the bank had deposits of Rs 7,657 crore and advances of Rs 6,170 crore in the zone. Mr J. Koteswara Rao, member of the SBI local board, Mr N.V.S. Ramprasad, Assistant General Manager, and others participated. Mr Koteswara Rao said SBI was in the first place in extending credit linkage to self-help groups of women in the State. - Our Bureau
