Our Bureau

Hyderabad, June 18

Children’s HeartLink, a US-based non-governmental organisation that supports hospitals in attending paediatric cardiac cases, may consider setting up an Indian arm.

Ms Mary Plawenty, First Lady of Minnesota (the US) and Director of Medical Diplomacy of Children’s HeartLink, has said that she would recommend to the board of the NGO to start India specific arm to address the huge problem here.

Ms Mary was here with regard to establishing an exclusive paediatric cardiac ward at CARE Hospitals here with the support of Nimmagadda Foundation. While Nimmagadda Foundation funds the 10-bed ICU, Children’s HeartLink would offer technological support required to carry out advanced cardiac interventions.
