SpiceJet posts Rs 7.8-cr net loss

New Delhi, June 27

Delhi-based low cost airline, SpiceJet has reported a net loss of Rs 7.8 crore during the last quarter of fiscal 2009 compared with a loss of Rs 123.6 crore reported during the corresponding period in the previous year. An official statement issued on Saturday states that for the quarter ending March 31, 2009, the airline reported a 4.4 per cent growth in operating revenue at Rs 417 crore compared with Rs 399 crore previously, while there has been a 5.2 per cent growth in flights operated at 10,170 against 9,667 previously. - Our Bureau
