Coimbatore, June 29 The Southern India Engineering Manufacturers’ Association (SIEMA), Coimbatore, is conducting a programme for its members on enrolling online for the standards and labelling programme for agricultural pump sets launched by the Ministry of Power.

Mr Jayakumar Ramdass, President, SIEMA, said the S&L programme covered open well submersible and mono block pumps for agriculture use.

The products would have star rating on the name plates according to their energy efficiency level and SIEMA has planned to bring at least 100 members to register with Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) under the programme.

Some of whose members voiced difficulties in enrolling online for the programme.
