Software Logistics - Airlines States - Kerala IBS Software in pact with Malaysia Air Our Bureau Thiruvananthapuram, June 30 IBS Software Services and Malaysia Airlines (MAS) have entered into a long-term contract under which MAS will use AvientCrew, the crew management system developed by IBS. According to a press statement issued by the city-based IBS, which develops IT solutions for the travel, transportation and logistics sectors, its AvientCrew system will replace two different crew management systems currently being used by MAS to manage its technical and cabin crew rosters. IBS’ crew management system will automate the airline’s entire crew management and tracking process, facilitating crew pairing, scheduling, tracking and manpower planning, the statement added. “The operational agility and productivity of the airline’s crew will, I am sure, be further enhanced with the implementation of AvientCrew,” said Mr V.K. Mathews, Chairman and CEO of IBS Group in the press statement. Six airlines, including Cathay Pacific, Emirates and Jet Airways, currently use AvientCrew. The system will help the airline optimise crew utilisation, improve crew productivity, reduce disruption costs and streamline administrative processes, the company’s statement claimed. MAS is scheduled to implement the system in four phases over the next two years, it added. IBS is also working with MASholidays, the airline’s travel and leisure arm, to implement its iFly Tour solution, which will offer MASholidays an online booking system that is integrated with real time inventory of flights, hotel rooms, transfers, tours, car rentals and other services.
