Tata Power bags OPG contracts

Mumbai, June 30 Tata Power Company has signed contracts with the Chennai-based OPG Group relating to its power plants, according to a release from the company. As per the contract, Tata Power will provide operation and maintenance service to OPG Power Generation’s 80 MW coal-based power plant at Gummidipoondi, near Chennai, and project management services for a 2x150 MW coal- based thermal power plant at Bhadreswar in Gujarat. The Gummidipoondi plant will be commissioned by October and the Bhadreswar plant by September 2011.
