More Tech Mahindra executives moved to Mahindra Satyam

Hyderabad, June 30 Two of Tech Mahindra’s top executives - Mr Rakesh Soni and Mr Atul Kanwar – have been assigned responsibilities at Mahindra Satyam. With this, the top leadership bandwidth at the Hyderabad-based IT major would have a Tech Mahindra mark.

Mr A.S. Murty, the current Chief Executive Officer, has now been named Chief Technology Officer and has been given the additional responsibilities of ‘specialised services’ such as Engineering and Consulting, in a major organisational revamp announced on Tuesday.

Earlier, Mr C.P. Gurnani was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Mr S. Durga Shankar as Chief Financial Officer and Mr Vineet Nayyar as Vice-Chairman — all from the Mahindra stable — of Mahindra Satyam.

Mr Soni, as the Chief Operating Officer of Tech Mahindra, would handle the same job in Mahindra Satyam and leads delivery of Manufacturing, BFSI (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance), Emerging Verticals, Strategic Accounts and Integration.

Mr Kanwar, Chief Business Development Officer at Tech Mahindra, would lead the Business Development and Operations for the Regional Business Groups (Europe, Australasia, West Asia, Africa and India).

Dr Keshab Panda would head the Business Development and Operations for Manufacturing, BFSI and Strategic Accounts.

Mr T.R. Anand would head the Business Development and Operations for Telecom, Media & Entertainment, Tech Infra and Semiconductor verticals. Mr Ravi Bommakanti would be responsible for delivery of these businesses.

Mr Hari T. would act as Chief People Officer and Chief Marketing Officer.

Two-in-a-box model

Mahindra Satyam would have a new organisational model, integrating sales and delivery into a ‘two-in-a-box’ collaborative model.

“Customers will now be served by a single integrated business unit that combines both relationship and delivery responsibilities,” it explained.
