Air Cargo Corporate - Alliances & Joint Ventures Geopost, Continental Air Express form venture for parcel services

Our Bureau New Delhi, July 1 Geopost, the express parcel arm of French Groupe La Poste, on Wednesday announced its partnership with Continental Air Express Private Ltd to set up a joint venture firm offering in bound and outbound express parcel services. FIPB nodIn a statement, the company said that the Foreign Investment Promotion Board recently approved an application of GeoPost Intercontinental SAS and Continental Air Express Private Ltd to establish the joint venture. “GeoPost Intercontinental, the international expansion vehicle of Geoposts will hold 60 per cent shares in the new joint venture,” the statement adds. Initially the company will offer its services in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata by the end of the year. “Globally our strategy has been to partner with airlines and fleet operators for delivery of packages. “This is what we intend to follow here.
