Mr S. Rethinavelu, the Senior President of the Tamilnadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been appointed by the Union Government, as a Trustee on the Board of Trustees of Tuticorin Port Trust for a period of two years, from April 1, 2009 to March 31, 2011. Expressing its gratitude to Mr G.K.Vasan, Union Minister for Shipping, the Chamber press release said that Mr Rethinavelu was the President of the Chamber for the past several years and was instrumental for the launc hing of Inland Container Port at Madurai besides conducting several seminars for the speedy implementation of Sethu Samudram Canal Project. –
