Recover lost files

How do I retrieve Internet Messenger files that have been erased? I don't have any files in history, trash can or recycle bin. I am using Win 98. All my e-mails are also lost. Please suggest a solution to retrieve the lost files.

The files that you delete from your system do not get actually deleted from the hard disk. Instead these are just removed from the index of the file system you are using. There is a lot of software which can recover such deleted files, such as Drive Rescue and Disk investigator. You can download these from the following URLs: http://www.free108.com/softwares/DLcounter.asp?id=141 and
