Zee News in tie-up with Sky B(Bangla), also picks up 26% stake

NOIDA: Zee News Ltd and Sky B (Bangla) Pvt Ltd have signed a strategic partnership agreement under which Zee News Ltd will handle marketing, advertising, sales and programming initiatives of Sky B’s Akaash Bangla, the 24-hour regional infotainment channe l in Bengali, against an agreed fee structure.

The scope of this agreement as far as content is content is restricted to entertainment programming only while news programming will continue to be produced by Sky B’s current news programming team.

Through a separate agreement, Zee News will also acquire 26% stake in Sky B.

Bengali news channel 24 Ghanta is owned bly Zee Akaash News Pvt Ltd, which is a 60:40 joint venture between Zee News Ltd and Sky B Pvt Ltd.
