TVS Motors two-wheeler sales up 11 per cent in December

MUMBAI: TVS Motor Company has registered an 11 per cent growth in its two-wheeler sales for December 2005 at 1,07,412 units as compared to 96,886 units in the same month last year.

Motorcycle sales for the company during the month increased 8 per cent to 68,724 units versus 63,496 units in December 2004, the company said in a release here on Monday. Exports during the reporting month increased 41 per cent to 6,069 units, it said.

TVS Moped sales increased 22 per cent to 22,637 units in December 2005 compared to 18,524 units during the same period last year, it said adding that TVS Scooty sales increased nearly eight per cent to 16,051 units versus 14,866 units in the same month l ast year. - PTI
