Corporate HCG sets up centre for breast health care BANGALORE: HealthCare Global Enterprises Ltd, a cancer care network, on Saturday announced the setting up of an exclusive centre for breast health here. The initiative is a part of the network's 'Pink Hope' campaign launched to create breast cancer aware ness and provide early detection for cure. Proper diagnosis through mammography and clinical breast examination, staging and treatment will help in achieving long term control of this disease, said a HCG release. “The incidence of breast cancer is increasing in India and if this trend continues we would fast catch up with the levels of western countries. The Centre for Breast Health, digital mammogram facility and mega awareness campaign are the initiatives that would address the breast cancer incidence head on,” the chairman and CEO of HCG, Mr Ajai Kumar said in the release. The HGE centre for Breast Health was inaugurated by actress and social activist Ms Shabana Azmi. A digital mammogram facility was also inaugurated by Ms Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Chairperson, Biocon Ltd, the release added. - PTI
