Rain halts NCL's power plant in AP

MUMBAI: NCL Industries on Monday said its mini hydro power plant in Andhra Pradesh's Kurnool district has been submerged due to unprecedented floods in the river Krishna.

“The unprecedented floods in the river Krishna resulted in submerge of the company's mini hydro power plant situated at Pothireddipadu in Kurnool on October 2,” NCL Industries said in a filing to the BSE.

Consequently power generation in the plant has come to a halt with effect from October 2,” it added. Entire plant and equipment has been adequately covered by insurance, the company said. - PTI
