Thermax bags Rs 450-cr order for power plant

MUMBAI: Engineering firm Thermax on Monday said it has bagged an order worth Rs 450 crore from an integrated steel unit for setting up a 60 MW captive power plant in Andhra Pradesh.

“The 60 MW power plant will be built and commissioned on a turnkey basis for a green field integrated steel complex in Andhra Pradesh,'' Thermax said in a regulatory filing to the BSE. However, the company has not disclosed the identity of the integrate d steel unit from which it has bagged the order. The scope of order includes the supply and commissioning of boilers and turbines, fuel and ash handling system, civil works, water treatment plant, pollution control system and storage reservoirs, the com pany said. Shares of the company closed at Rs 364.10, down 9.11 per cent on the BSE. - PTI
