Corporate BSEL to invest Rs 2,500 crore in overseas projects MUMBAI: BSEL Infrastructure Realty on Friday said it is exploring opportunities to invest about Rs 2,500 crore for setting up overseas projects, including those in Indonesia and Thailand. “The company is exploring opportunities to enter other parts of globe and likewise is exploring the Indonesian and Thailand markets as well, BSEL Infra said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange. The company would invest Rs 2,500 crore over four years ”. “The first phase is for four years and our subsidiaries will invest Rs 2,500 crore, of which Rs 2,000 crore would be through internal accruals of bulk or retail investors and the remaining from debt,” BSEL Managing Director Mr Dharmendra Raichura said.
In a clarification made to the BSE regarding media reports of the firm's investment plans, MR Raichura said, “BSEL had invested Rs 200 crore at the beginning of the project one-and-half year ago.” Earlier, the realty firm had received approval to develop Rs 140 crore IT park at Goa, the filing said. Shares of BSEL Infra were trading at Rs 38.75, down 2.52 per cent in the late afternoon trade on the BSE. - PTI
