Corporate BHEL plans marketing office in Kazakhistan Tiruchi (TN): The public sector Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), a premier engineering enterprise in energy-related and infrastructure sector, as part of enhancing overseas business, plans to set up a marketing office in Kazakhistan. BHEL had already signed a MoU with TGR of Hungary for exploring opportunities for the supply and renovation and maintenance of boilers in European and Commonwealth countries, company sources told PTI here today. BHEL also had executed several contracts in these regions, including a contract for a 40 MW gas turbine generator set in Kazakhistan. Currently, BHEL is executing two hydro power projects in Tajikistan and a contract for supply of transformers to Azerbai jan. Recently, BHEL had bagged an Rs 270 crore order for supplying one 120 MW co-generation power plant at Grodno in Belarus, the sources said. It was the first-ever export order for 120 MW gas turbine generator based co-generation plant, booster, compressor, heat recovery steam generator with auxiliaries and automatic process control system, the sources said.– PTI
