Ranbaxy gets US FDA approval for high BP drug

NEW DELHI: Ranbaxy Laboratories has received US Food and Drug Authority (US FDA) approval for Benazepril Hydrochloride abd Hydroclorothiazide, a high blood pressure drug.

The company has received the approval for various dosage forms from five mg to 25 mg, as per the information available with the US FDA site.

Ranbaxy had got tentative approval for the drug in 2004.

The company had yesterday announced the setting up of its subsidiary in Italy to gain further foothold in the European market. - PTI
