Lipton launches clear green tea

MUMBAI: Leading packaged tea-maker Lipton on Tuesday launched its clear green tea here. The green tea variant has four different flavours-green tea jasmine, green tea mint, green tea citrus and green tea pure which would be available at grocery stores, supermarkets and retail outlets across the country.

"We are expanding our product portfolio and targeting the health and wellness market with our latest offering - Litpon clear green. It is rich in antioxidants and will help people purify (their systems) and maintain that right moderation and balance in t heir diets,'' Hindustan Unilever Limited's Category Head, Beverages, Mr Arun Srinivas said.

With its campaign 'Wipe Your Slate Clean', Clear Green aims to reach out to the audience claiming nothing purifies like Clear Green and hence maintain that right moderation and balance in their diets.

"Green Tea contains more than 90 per cent water and is the way to flush out toxins and impurities. Also, it is low in caffeine and when consumed alone has no calories,'' Consultant Nutritionist, Niti Desai, said. HUL aims to add vitality to life through its presence in over 20 categories in home and personal care products and food and beverages, a company statement said. - PTI
