Automotive Axles to cut output

MUMBAI: Auto ancillaries maker Automotive Axles said that the company has decided to shut down operations for at least a week during November and December.

The Karnataka-based company has been forced to resort to this measure following steep fall in demand of commercial vehicles, it said in a filing with the BSE.

The commercial vehicle market is witnessing a steep fall in the demand which has driven the company's original equipment customers to resort to shutdown and lay-offs. This is compelling the company to moderate the production for next two months, it said.

Shares of the company were down by Rs 5 at Rs 121 on the BSE in the morning trade. - PTI
