Bajaj sells 1-lakh Discover units in 50 days

MUMBAI: Bajaj Discover DTS-Si, the new offering in the 100 cc segment from Bajaj Auto, has sold a record 1,00,000 units in the first 50-days of its launch.

This is possibly a new volume benchmark for any bike launch in this country, the company said in a press release issued here on Monday. "The record selling can be attributed to the positive word of mouth from the customers and the favourable reviews and accolades from the industry experts,''

Bajaj Auto's CEO for 2Wheelers, Mr S Sridhar, said, the company has ramped up the production to 80,000 with the help of its Pantnagar capacity to meet the overwhelming demand during the festive season, the release said. This super-fuel-efficient bike g ives an on-road, mileage of 80 km/litre, the release said. - PTI
