Pioneer Distilleries plans to double plant capacity

CHENNAI: Pioneer Distilleries Ltd has informed the BSE that the company is embarking on expansion activity by doubling the existing alcohol plant capacity to two lakh litres a day.

The company has obtained in-principle approval from the State Excise Department, Maharashtra for the expansion.

The project cost of the expansion plan is being worked out.

Keeping in view demand for ethanol from petroleum companies, the company has decided to increase the capacity of its ethanol plant from 30,000 litres a day to 1,30,000 litres. - Our Bureau
