Corporate Suven Life Sciences gets two product patents in Korea, Mexico MUMBAI: Suven Life Sciences Ltd has announced that two product patents were granted in Mexico and Korea for two of their new chemical entities (NCEs) for the treatment of disorders associated with neuro-degenerative diseases and these patents are valid u ntil 2023. The patents are exclusive intellectual property of the company and are achieved through the exclusive internal discovery research efforts. Products out of these inventories which are in Pre-clinical development may be out-licensed at the stage of clinica l phase-I or Phase II stage. The granted claims of the patents include the class of selective 5-HT compounds discovered by Suven and are being developed as therapeutic agents. The compounds are useful in the treatment of cognitive impairment associated with neuro-degenerative disord ers like attention deficient hyperactivity, Alzheimer's Parkinson, Schizophrenia and Huntington's.
