Industry Haryana Power achieves record generation CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Power Generation Corporation Ltd.(HPGCL) has achieved a record generation of 458 lakh units of power in a single day on September 28, which is the highest ever since its formation. A spokesman of HPGCL said here on Monday that earlier, the HPGCL bettered its record of power generation continuously from September 26 onwards. The generating units of the HPGCL had produced 438 lakh units on that day followed by 444 lakh units of electricity on September 27. He said that the 210 MW and 250 MW power generating units of thermal station Panipat achieved a plant load factor (PLF) of more than 100 per cent which went upto 102.62 per cent. As per technical norms the units have been designed with a margin of 3 per cent over the rated capacity. Overall plant load factor of the power generating units of the plant was 89.49 per cent. Giving details of power generated at the Thermal Power Station Yamuna Nagar, he said that the plant contributed 141.50 lakh units of power to the State kitty at a re markable PLF. The two 300 MW generating units of the plant achieved a PLF of 98.26 per cent bettering its own record of 94.79 per cent achieved on September 25. - PTI
