Reliance shares down

MUMBAI: Paring its early gains, Reliance Industries (RIL) fell by nearly one per cent on the bourses in late morning trade, a day after the company said it would challenge the Bombay High Court judgement on gas deal in the apex court.

Shares of RIL were quoted at Rs 2,054 on NSE in late morning trade, down by Rs 4 from the previous close. The shares had opened stronger at Rs 2,183 on NSE. Over 7.70 lakh shares changed the hands on the NSE.

Amid their bitter battle, younger brother Anil Ambani's group yesterday accused Mukesh-run RIL of “deliberately'' defying the Bombay High Court on their gas deal, but the other side contested the charge and said it would challenge the judgement in the Su preme Court.
