Piramal Life Sciences lists at Rs 300 on BSE

MUMBAI: Drug major Piramal Group on Thursday listed its research and development arm Piramal Life Sciences on the Bombay Stock Exchange at Rs 300 per share.

Piramal Life Sciences was recently demerged from Nicholas Piramal India Ltd. The demerged entity would take care of all the research and development of new drugs.

"We have 14 molecules in Piramal Life Sciences, of which six are in clinical trials. Two more would enter clinical trials in this year," Mr Ajay Piramal, Chairman, Piramal Life Sciences said here.

Piramal Life Sciences is looking to launch a drug either in cancer, diabetes, and infectious disease or inflammation in the market in 2010-11. - PTI
