Money NEW DELHI: It's good news for Indian students aspiring to travel abroad for studies, with British Airways allowing them to carry 23 kg extra luggage free. A return fare of Rs 20,000 and a one-way fare of Rs 11,000 to UK enables students to carry 23 kg extra luggage from the existing 64 kg, Mr Charles P Carneiro, Marketing Manager - South Asia of the airline said here today. In addition, the airways has an agreement with Air Shahara which ensures free travelling from any parts of the country to five BA gateways at Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Chennai, he said. Mr Carneiro said, "There is no need for any separate booking for the domestic travelling prior to flying to UK. Only one booking with BA would do. The fare would be the same." The offer, valid between July 1 and September 30 this year, can be availed from any BA counter by the students by showing their student visa, he informed. Four members of family or friends can also travel with the student at a discount rate, he said. - P TI
