Maida and sooji prices go up in Chennai

CHENNAI: Prices of maida and sooji moved up, while other commodities ruled steady on the wholesale foodgrains market on Thursday.

Both maida and sooji moved up by Rs 20 each per 90 kg to Rs 1,380 and Rs 1,500 respectively.

The prices of thoor dal, urad dal, moong dal, gram dal, sugar and wheat remained unchanged.

Following are today's rates per quintal:

Thoor dal Rs 4,300, urad dal Rs 3,600, moong dal Rs 3,200, gram dal Rs 2,500, sugar Rs 1,340, wheat Rs 1,400, maida (90 kg) Rs 1,380 and sooji (90 kg) Rs 1,500. PTI
