Nickel recovers on higher global advices

NEW DELHI: Nickel and copper prices recovered in the wholesale non-ferrous metal market on Friday on revival of buying by stockists triggered by overnight upsurge in its prices at London Metal Exchange and closed with fresh gains.

Traders said today's rally in select base metal prices was mostly attributed to overnight gains at London Metal Exchange (LME) and industrial offtake.

Nickel plate 4x4, 9x9 and 4x24 strengthened to Rs.10 each at Rs.1915-2015, Rs.1925 and Rs.1925-1950 per kilo respectively.

Copper wire scrap, copper super d rod and copper wire bar all gaining from Rs.325, Rs.378 and Rs.347 to winding up at Rs.327, Rs.380 and Rs.349 a kilo respectively.

Copper mixed scrap and c c rod too remained in good demand on fresh buying by stockist and settled higher at Rs.305 and Rs.337 from Rs.303 and Rs.335 a kilo respectively.
