Almond kernel inches up

NEW DELHI: Almond kernel inched up in the wholesale dry fruits market on Thursday on pick up in festive demand. Prices moved in a tight range on alternate trading and settled around previous levels. Marketmen said increased demand from retailers in vie w of festival season mainly pushed up almond kernel prices. Almond kernel prices inched up to Rs 290-292 from Rs 288- 290 a kilo.

Following were today's quotations in Rs per 40 kgs bag: Almond (California) new 8,200 Almond (gurbandi) 5,200 Almond (girdhi) 3,300, Almond kernel (California) 290-292 Almond kernel (gurbandi) (kg) 300-375 and Abjosh Afghani 7,000-12,000.
