Mustard, rice bran oils recover

NEW DELHI: Mustard and rice bran oils recovered by Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale oils and oilseeds market in the national capital on Saturday on lower level buying. However, sesame oil remained weak and lost Rs 100 per quintal for want of support . Mahuwa and rice bran oils in the non-edible section traded lower on reduced industrial offtake.

In the edible section, mustard expeller and rice bran (physical) oils attracted lower levels buying and recovered by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,900 and Rs 3,900 per quintal. However, sesame mill delivery oil declined by Rs 100 to Rs 6,700 per quintal. In the n on-edible section, mahuwa and rice bran oils lost Rs 50 each at Rs 4,100 and Rs 3,800-3,900 per quintal respectively owing to reduced offtake by consuming units.

Following were today's quotations per quintal Oilseeds: mustard seed 2,100-2,200 and groundnut seed 2,450-2,750. Vanaspati ghee (15 litres tin) 700-810. Edible oils: Groundnut mill delivery 5,950 Groundnut Solvent refined (per tin) 1,000-1,040, Musta rd Expeller 4,900, Mustard Pakki ghani (per tin) 660-815, Mustard kachi ghani (per tin) 815-900, Cottonseed mill delivery 4,600, Palmolein (RBD) 4,500 , Rice bran (phy) 3,900 and Coconut (per tin) 1,020-1,030. Non-edible oils: Linseed 4,400 Mahuwa 4,100, Castor 6,350-6,450, Neem 4,400-4,500. Oilcakes: groundnut de-husk 800-850, Sesame 950-1150, Mustard (new) 1,025-1,050, Mustard 1,200-1,210 and Cottonseed 1,075-1,175. - PTI
