Aluminium extends gains

NEW DELHI: Aluminium futures extended gains for the third straight day on Wednesday by rising 0.66 per cent on the Multi Commodity Exchange on sustained buying influenced by firm global trend.

On the MCX counters at 1210 hours aluminium for the most active June month contract gained 0.66 per cent to Rs 68.70 per kg with open interest of 3821 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in current month July contract traded 0.58 per cent higher at Rs 69.70 per kg, clocking an open interest of 162. The continued rise in aluminium mostly attributed on sustained buying by speculators in tandem with firmin g global trend traders said. - PTI
