Commodities Citric acid, caustic soda slip on reduced off-take NEW DELHI: Citric acid and caustic soda flake prices declined in the range of Rs 50 to Rs 80 per 50 kg in the national capital on Saturday on reduced off-take by consuming units against adequate stock positions. Citric acid-China prices slipped by Rs 50 to Rs 3,400-3,500 per 50 kg on reduced off-take. Caustic soda flake prices also declined by Rs 80 to Rs 1500 per 50 kg on lack of buying support from detergent soap manufacturers. Marketmen said slowdown in buying activity at prevailing higher levels mainly brought down citric acid and caustic soda prices in the wholesale chemical market here. Following were today's quotations: Ammonium chloride (50 kg), 1500-2,200, acetic acid (1 kg) 45, ammonia bicarb (25 kg) 410, boric acid technical (50 kg) 4,000-4,400, borex granular (50 kg) 2200. Caustic soda flake (50 kg) 1,500, citric acid (50 kg) (China) 3,400-3,500, citric acid deshi (50 kg) 3,200-3400, camphor slab (1 kg) 285, camphor powder (1 kg) 255 glycerine (1 kg) 60-85, hexamine (1 kg) 78, hydrogen peroxide (1 kg) 33-35, mercury (34.5 kg) 36,500, menthol oil (1 kg) 615, menthol bold crystal (per kg) 720 and menthol flake (1 kg) 685. - PTI
