NEW DELHI: Pulses remained up on the wholesale market here on Tuesday on stockists buying amid restricted arrivals. Marketmen said stockists buying to meet a heavy demand for the marriages next week, mainly pushed up prices of select pulses. They said fewer intakes of pulses during the ongoing Navratras had no impact on the trading sentiment as the market already facing tight stocks position due to restricted arrivals.

Moong chilka local and best attracted buyers attention on short supply and closed at Rs 2850-3050 and Rs 3100-3350 from Rs 2800-2950 and Rs 3050-3250 a quintal. Dhoya local and best too went up from Rs 3000-3200 and Rs 3350-3600 to close at Rs 3050-3250 and Rs 3400-3650 per quintal respectively. Arhar dal dara and pataka rose from Rs 3450-3500 and Rs 3550-3700 to finish at Rs 3450-3600 and Rs 3600-3800 a quintal respectively. Gram and its dal local and best also found renewed buying support at Rs 245 0-2460, Rs 2700-2800 and Rs 2950-3150 a quintal respectively. Rajmah chitra pune and china too finished higher at Rs 3400-4100 and Rs 3800-4000 a quintal respectively on reduced supply.
