Poor demand hits Nickel and tin

MUMBAI: Nickel prices continued to fall on the non-ferrous metal market here on Wednesday due to lack of industrial demand coupled with lower advices from the London Metal Exchange. Elsewhere, tin prices also moved down in the absence of demand from ind ustrial users.

While, copper sheets cutting edged up on mild industrial support. Nickel prices dropped by Rs 20 a kilo to Rs 1,055 from yesterday's level of Rs 1,075 and tin by Rs 10 a kilo to Rs 1,140 from Rs 1,150 previously.

However, copper sheets cutting inched up by a rupee a kilo to Rs 362 from Rs 361 previously. - PTI
