Gram rises

NEW DELHI: The wholesale prices of gram and its dal on Wednesday recovered by up to Rs 100 per quintal here on increased demand from mills.

Gram prices closed with a gain of Rs 100 at Rs 2,500 -2,510 a quintal while its dal (local) quoted higher by Rs 50 at Rs 2,800-2,850 a quintal.

In futures trading at NCDEX, gram for May delivery quoted higher at Rs 2,617 a quintal, against last level of Rs 2,572 -2,575.

Following are today's quotations per quintal in rupees:

Urad Maharashtra 2050-2275, Rangoon 2225-2300, Urad chilka (local) 2700-2950, best 3000-3450, dhoya local 2950-3250, best 3300-3400, Moong Maharashtra 2275-2575, Rajasthan 1975-2175, dal moong chilka local 2700-2850, best 3000-3200, moong dhoya local 295 0-3150 and best quality 3150-3500.

Masoor small 3000-3200, bold 3300-3450, dal masoor local 4200-4350, best quality 4350-4500, Malka local 4150-4350, best 4500-4600, Moth 1800-1900, Arhar Maharashtra 2600-2650, Rangoon 2475-2575, dal arhar dara 3400-3650 and patka 3600-3900.

Gram 2500-2510, gram deal (local) 2800-2850, best quality 3000-3200, besin (35 kg) shakti bhog 1275 rajdhani 1280, Rajmah chitra Pune 3200-3800, China 3500-3850, red 3150-3250, kabli gram small 2600-3350, dabra 2775-2875, imported 4600-4700, lobia 2200-2 600, peas white 2350-2400 and green 2400-2500. - PTI
