Commodities Sugar millgate moves down further on ample supply NEW DELHI: Sugar millgate prices fell further by Rs 5 to Rs 10 a quintal in the national capital on Wednesday on adequate supply from mills against reduced offtake. Market men said selling pressure from mills, as they have to clear their current month allotted free sale sugar quota, caused the downfall in sugar millgate prices further. In millgate section, sugar Modinagar and mawana slipped further by Rs 5 each to Rs 1480 and Rs 1470 a quintal respectively on reduced offtake. Titabi eased by Rs 10 to settle at Rs 1465 a quintal and Badaiun quoted at Rs 1335 from Rs 1340 a quintal. Following were today quotations per quintal in rupees: Sugar ready M-30 1600-1625 and S-30 1575-1615. Mill delivery M-30 1350-1510 and S-30 1340-1500. Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Modi Nagar 1480,Bagpat 1455, Daurala 1470, Chandpur 1330, Titabi 1465, Mawana 1470, Simbhawali 1500 Khatauli 1490, Badaiun 1335, Sattha 1330, Ruderavilash 1335, Bijnor 1450, Amroha 1460 and Samali Rs 1450. - PTI
