Logistics NEW DELHI: The Government on Wednesday decided to give international airport status to Calicut airport in Kerala. "Though there are some international operations from Calicut airport, it would now get the international status", Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi told reporters after a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The status would entitle certain benefits for the airport, he said adding that the Calicut airport would get support for improving the runway and infrastructure like better arrival and departure facilities.
