Aryan Cargo to invest Rs 100 cr, start operations in 2010

NEW DELHI: Logistics services provider Aryan Cargo Express said on Wednesday said it will invest Rs 100 crore to start its international operations from next year.

The company will be deploying four Airbus aircraft to carry out the services. “We will invest a total of Rs 100 crore out of which we have a working capital of Rs 25 crore and rest would be arranged through loans from SBI,” Aryan Cargo Express CMD Mr Muk ut Pathak said.

He said the company would begin international operations to 150 destinations from January or February next year. “We will deploy four Airbus 310—300F aircraft for the purpose,” Ms Pathak said adding the company would have a staff strength of 120 employee s initially.

The company has already taken two Airbus-310s from Air India for a period of three years and two from ULS Airline Cargo for a period of five years, he added. Initially, Aryan plans to operate as a schedule cargo airline within Asia and Europe, Ms Pathak said.

It is looking to tap the Southeast Asia and Middle East with the hubs at Sharjah, New Delhi and Bangkok. At a later stage, it may consider opening hubs at Nairobi and Tashkent to service the European and African markets.

The company has a tie-up with Air Arabia for deeper penetration in the Middle East markets. Similarly, it has an arrangement with Air Kenya for African market. - PTI
