DHL Global Forwarding in talks with Jet Airways

BANGALORE: DHL Global Forwarding, a unit of DHL India, is in talks with Jet Airways for cargo bookings in the leftover space in their passenger aircraft flying overseas, its top official said.

"We already have a pact with other international carriers like Air India. We are in talks with Jet Airways for cargo bookings in their international flights" said Mr Madhav Thapar, Sub-Regional Air Freight Director-South Asia, DHL Global Forwarding here on Tuesday.

DHL, which unveiled their first of its kind bonded warehouse at new Bangalore International Airport, is interested in replicating the model at other aiports in the country.

"It, however, depends upon space availability at airports and regulatory agencies", he said. - PTI
