FedEx targets double-digit annual growth

NEW DELHI: Global courier major Federal Ex Services on Monday said it is looking at double-digit annual growth in India as its business in the country has not been impacted much by the worldwide economic slowdown. “India is a strategic market for us and we are looking at a double digit growth year-on-year,'' said Mr Rajesh Subramaniam, Senior Vice-President for International Marketing, Federal Ex Services.

During the last three years, the company has more than tripled the number of frequencies in India and also FED Ex's employee strength has crossed the 3,000 mark. The global economic slowdown has not affected the company's India's business much. He said the company has recently started a hub facility in Delhi and has teamed up with local partners to expand its India business. FedEx's global business (business outside US, where it is headquartered) accounts for around 40 per cent of its total annual re venue and India constitutes a major market for the future, he added. - PTI
