US markets fall

MUMBAI: The US markets were down on Wednesday. Marketmen said economic fears had forced the markets for the third day. There were also fears that the bailout package may not be enough.

The Dow Jones industrial average went down by 411.30 points to end at 8,282.66. The Standard & Poor's 500 index dropped 46.65 points to 852.30. The Nasdaq composite index lost 81.69 points to finish at 1,499.21.
