Asian majors slip

MUMBAI: Asian majors were down in early trades on Tuesday. Tokyo's Nikkei shed 31.88 points at 16,329.63 and Hong Kong's Hang Seng index too was down 39.36 points at 15,502.71.

Elsewhere, Singapore Straits Times lost 7.28 points at 2,504.86, Taipei index declined 72.74 points at 6,471.89, Kuala Lumpur Composite was up 2.57 points at 924.60, Seoul Kospi was down 12.48 points at 1,325.80, Bangkok SET index edged up 1.89 points at 734.77, Jakarta JSX Composite was steady at 1,244.59 and in Manila, the PSE was steady at 2,120.99.
