ArcelorMittal's stake in Erdemir steel reaches 24.98 per cent

LONDON: Global steel player ArcelorMittal on Monday said it has raised its stake in Turkish steel company Erdemir to 24.98 per cent following purchase of 11.31 per cent stake in the company on June 13. The shares were acquired in transactions with Socie te Generale, Nextgen Capital Ltd and Credit Suissee International, a statement from ArcelorMittal said.

The acquisition price for the Turkish steel company was $6.69 per share, which pegged the value of the acquired stake at $869.25 million. - PTI
