US markets up

MUMBAI: The US markets rose on Friday. Marketmen said the reason for this rise in the country’s markets was the expectations that the country was slowly coming out of the economic recession, on good corporate earnings.

The Dow Jones industrial average was up 36.28 points at 9,820.20. The Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 2.81 points at 1,068.30. The NASDAQ composite index went up by 6.11 points at 2,132.86.
