Sargent is new GE Capital Asia-Pacific head

MUMBAI: General Electric’s financial services arm, GE Capital, has appointed Mr Steve Sargent as the President and CEO of its Asia-Pacific operations.

Mr Sargent, who will take over from Mr John Flannery, will oversee the operations of GE Capital in the region, which is based at Tokyo, a press release said.

Currently he is serving as President and CEO of GE for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).

Mr Sargent will continue heading GE Capital ANZ until a replacement is named and will remain the national executive for GE ANZ along with his new Asia-Pacific role, the release said.

He has also held a number of senior finance, sales and quality positions in GE Capital, including president and CEO of GE European Equipment Finance. — PTI
