UN chief condemns Mumbai attacks

UNITED NATIONS: United Nations chief, Mr Ban Ki-moon on Thursday strongly condemned the coordinated terror attacks in Mumbai, saying “such violence is totally unacceptable.''

Mr Ban said that no cause or grievance can justify indiscriminate attacks against civilians and called for the perpetrators of the attacks to be brought to justice.

The UN chief offered his sympathies to the families of the victims and the wounded and voiced his solidarity with India's Government and its people. - PTI
