General Terror attack: Panicked office goers return home early MUMBAI: Office goers in South Mumbai on Friday began returning home early following a state of rumours regarding terror attacks in the city, despite the police officials denying any such incidents. Frightened by the reports of new incidents of firing at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and other areas of South Mumbai, many office goers and traders left their working place before the schedule time. “There were rumours earlier that there was firing at CST and the other locations. Many of my colleagues left due to which even rest of us decided to leave,'' an office goer said. However, Commissioner of Police, Mr Hassan Gaffor said, “there is no substance to any of the rumours and appeal to all citizens not to believe on them.'' Already wary of even the slightest of sounds and movements around, citizens panicked when they heard a loud sound as instrument fell at the CST station. Several shopkeepers downed their shutters as people started rushing for cover. - PTI
