Indian Bank to offer online services for IIT exams

CHENNAI: Indian Bank on Saturday announced its partnership with Indian Institute of Technology, Madras for the sale of IIT Joint Entrance Examinations 2010 applications.

A memorandum of understanding was signed here between Indian Bank and IIT Madras on October 23, a bank release here said.

Students can apply online through IIT Madras Web site and make payment using credit card or through net banking facilities. However, for the students who do not have any credit card or net banking accounts, Indian Bank would accept the application fees in cash, the release said.

After paying the fees, students can get the reference number from the bank and feed it at the IIT portal and complete the process of submission, it said. In addition to this, students can also buy the IIT JEE application forms through the 166 branches of Indian Bank by paying the prescribed fees and can also submit the applications at the respective branches, the release added. — PTI
